Do you come out at weekends?
On Saturday mornings, for emergencies. Otherwise I work Monday to Friday, 8 am to 6:30 pm.
Do you charge for a quote?
No, the quote is free, and you’ll have it within 48 hours.
Do you speak English?
Yes, fluently: I lived in Bristol for two years. You can explain the problem, get the quote and talk about the job in English.
How can I pay?
By cheque, bank transfer or card: I carry a card terminal.
Do you deal with insurers?
Yes, I write the reports for water damage claims.
How far do you travel?
Bergerac and the villages up to 30 km around. The call-out charge is €35 within Bergerac and €45 beyond, up to 30 km.
How much does a repair cost?
The call-out (€35 or €45), then labour at €55 an hour, plus parts if any are needed. I give you the price before I start.
How quickly can you come?
Within 24 hours, often the same day.
Can you come when I’m not there?
Yes: I can call round with your keys. I do it for many owners of gîtes and second homes.
Are you insured?
Yes: professional liability insurance and the French 10-year building guarantee (garantie décennale).
